TELL BINDOW WE WANT ADAMAWA STATE CLEAN
Our letter dated 7th
November, 2016 requesting for courtesy call to the office of the Adamawa State
Speaker, Commissioner for Health and Commissioner for Environment as gone mortal.
The letter which was written 7th
November, 2016 with the below objectives is believed to have gone mortal and the
group keeps wondering. Is the government now frowning at voluntary work?
1. We have noticed how our
metropolitan city Jimeta is becoming dirty day by day due to poor maintenance
of the streets by human activities, refuse these days are dumped beside or on
the streets growing grasses are seen growing on our express ways, You could be
by the road side or driving only for you to notice things being thrown out of
moving vehicles. The nature does not know how to use waste bins either so she
just clears it off her path and delivers it to the nearest gutter or canal.
This leads to all the floods we experience on the streets of Adamawa every time
it rains a great place for malaria breeding mosquitoes to raise their progeny
and a huge odour manufacturing plant.
In the light of the above we
has youth body in the state, as therefore resolved to flag off a Free
Monthly Sanitation voluntarily to be conducted once every month in Jimeta
metropolis. With the slogan “Support Bindow to keep Adamawa State clean”
2. It will afford us the
opportunity to decide together as one family, the future of the youths in
Adamawa State. As is true in other areas of endeavour, the youths are beset
with some challenges which we very much hope that meeting you to reason
together, will afford us the opportunity to discuss and proffer solution to
these problems.
3. Finally, the association
wishes to seek your unflinching support towards the attainment of its unique
goal which is to initiate its voluntary sanitation in every Local Government in
the state. This aim at uniting the youth together to promote charitable causes.
